SouthWest

by Bruce Sanford

I love the Northwest, but the Southwest is irresistible. I think because it's so dramatically different with its fantastic formations and vivid colors. Geologically speaking, the present setting is only a snapshot in time.  So, before it changes I'm going to do my best to capture as many of the scenes on film (and pixels).

My past southwest adventures have been primarily to Escalante and Capitol Reef.  This year I'm planning a trip to the Arches, Canyonlands and Mesa Verda, places I've never been to. There are several Anasazi kivas that I have my sights on.  I've seen pictures, but looking forward to visiting them in person. Watch this space.
