This is where you can view fine art photographs of the northwest (and other places). My attempt is to capture an exceptional moment, a slice in time and place, that represents the beauty and wonder of this planet.
By clicking on the headings on the left you can go to various categories with diverse subjects and composition. All of these images are available as prints. Print descriptions and ordering information are described in the "Purchasing Print" page.
As you can guess, it takes considerable time to go from planning to print. With nature photography there are no guarantees that even a well thought out expedition will result in a great picture, or even a mediocre picture for that matter. Although fate plays a big part, you can swing the odds in your favor if you know your subject and the best times to be there.
I do a lot of hiking and backpacking in search of exotic locations, trying to find images that are not so photographed. So many of my pictures are not the "traditional" or "postcard" scenes.
