Flora, Foliage and Fungi

by Bruce Sanford

These are shots taken with a macro lens, meaning that I was real close to the subject, a few inches away in most cases.  I love this sort of photography because it is intimate, quiet and solitary.  It also forces one to look beyond normal vision into the small and beautiful world.  These are wild subjects, not your garden variety, found within the meadows and forests of the northwest.
